Common questions about pricing

How much do window shutters cost in Scotland?

For a standard 1,000 mm x 1,200 mm window, shutters start from £694 (Antigua, engineered MDF) up to £1932 (Portchester, aluminium security). These prices include measurement, supply, professional installation, and VAT.

Are these exact prices or estimates?

These are realistic price ranges for a typical window. Every window is different, so we provide a personalised quotation after a complimentary design consultation. The ranges shown here give you a genuine idea of what to budget.

What is included in the price?

All prices include a complimentary home design consultation, precision measurement, supply of the product, professional installation by our own fitting team, and VAT at 20%.

Why do prices vary so much between ranges?

The main factors are material (MDF, hardwood, waterproof ABS, aluminium), the number of colour options, whether the shutters can be made in special shapes, and whether they can be refinished in future. Higher ranges offer more flexibility and longer life.

What makes shutters more expensive than blinds?

Shutters are a permanent fixture, precision-made to your exact window dimensions. They add value to your home, provide superior insulation, and typically last 25+ years. Blinds are a lighter solution with a lower upfront cost but a shorter lifespan.

What are your payment terms?

We require a 50% deposit when you place your order, with the balance due seven days before installation.
