A note on labour after the first year
Installation labour is fully covered for the first 12 months. After the first year, product and material defects remain covered for the full five years, but any labour required to carry out a repair or replacement may be chargeable. We will always explain this clearly before any work is carried out.
How to make a claim
If you think something is covered by our Five Year Promise, get in touch. We will arrange for one of our team to inspect it at a time that suits you.
Repairs and aftercare
Even outside the warranty period, we are here to help. Whether a shutter panel needs adjusting after building settlement, a louvre tension rod needs tightening, or a blind motor needs a replacement battery, our team can sort it.
We carry out repairs and service work for products we originally installed. Call us to discuss what you need and we will advise on the best course of action.
Looking after your shutters and blinds
Our products are designed to be low maintenance. A few simple steps will keep them looking their best for years to come:
Shutters
Dust regularly with a soft cloth or feather duster. For a deeper clean, wipe louvres with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive water. PVC and composite shutters can handle more moisture than timber, but all types benefit from gentle cleaning.
Honeycomb and pleated blinds
Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner at low suction, or gently dust with a microfibre cloth. For spot cleaning, dab gently with a damp cloth. Retract the blinds fully for a few hours each week to help preserve the pleated shape.
Roller blinds
Wipe down with a slightly damp cloth. Most roller blind fabrics are treated to resist dust and moisture. Avoid pulling the blind at an angle as this can affect the mechanism over time.
Awnings
Always retract your awning during strong winds. Brush off loose debris before retracting. If the fabric is damp, extend the awning on a dry day to allow it to air before storing it away.
Motorised products
Keep battery operated motors charged. We recommend topping up the charge every three to four months, or when the motor begins to slow. Mains powered motors require no maintenance.
