External shading is the most effective way to control heat
Internal blinds can only manage heat and glare once it has already passed through the glass and entered your room. By that point, the greenhouse effect has already taken hold and your room is warming up regardless of what you do inside.
External screens intercept solar energy before it reaches your glazing, rejecting up to 90% of incoming heat and up to 99% of UV damage. The result is a cooler, more comfortable room without the need for air conditioning. Your view is maintained through the screen fabric, which is designed to reduce glare while preserving your outlook.
We supply and install the Luxaflex RS Smart range, MicroLouvre (KoolShade) fixed shading, and Phantom retractable screens. Every motorised product comes with Somfy IO technology as standard, connecting to your smart home system for automatic operation.

Motorised Retractable Screens
Motorised retractable screens designed for large openings such as bifold doors, covered terraces, and outdoor entertainment areas. Available with insect mesh for midge protection, which is essential in Scotland from late spring through summer. Wind and sun sensors automate operation.
