It’s Judith here, and boy, do I have some fabulous news to share!
I always like to ensure you’re treated like family when you call or visit.
Well, that aim will be supercharged because there’s a new friendly face in our Dundee Showroom. I want to introduce you to Alanah Herd, our fresh and incredibly talented Client and Showroom Relations Manager.
Why the shift, you ask?
While our previous remote virtual PA system in Manchester was brilliant, there’s something quite different from the personal touch. And Alanah brings just that.
Whenever I’ve been slightly out of reach (busy crafting the best shading solutions!), you’ve sometimes had to play a little phone tag to get to me. With Alanah right by my side in Dundee, those days are about to change!
Infectious Energy
Alanah comes with a spark and energy that’s infectious. When I looked at her CV, she’s like the Swiss army knife of the event world.
She’s been the driving force behind their success, from weddings to seasonal events. This means she knows exactly how important details are and just how much warmth and patience go into creating perfect moments.
During her interview, when asked about the allure of the Scottish Shutter Company, Alanah mentioned the “customer-focused ethos” we wear as a badge of honour.
In her words, she loves the idea of a fast-paced, family-run enterprise like ours. And guess what? She’s super impressed with our commitment to providing you with detailed product knowledge even before you pick up the phone.

Alanah’s been into sales and events and even managed her own department, showcasing weddings and events. Imagine someone who sells dreams for a living! It’s safe to say she’s more than capable of helping you pick out your dream shades.
But it’s not just her professional life that’s filled with zest. Alanah’s biggest motivation is her daughter. She strives to be an exemplary role model, showcasing how hard work, dedication, and a sprinkle of kindness can move mountains.
Now, if you visit our Dundee showroom anytime soon (by appointment, remember), you’ll likely be greeted by Alanah’s vibrant personality. She eagerly awaits getting to know you, assisting you, and ensuring you feel at home.
And while she’ll be here, I’m only an email away. We’re a dynamic duo set to ensure your Scottish Shutter Company experience is spectacular.
Lastly, a shout-out to Lauren and her Manchester team. They’ve been fabulous, and we’ve cherished our time working with them. But for now, it’s time for a new chapter, and Alanah’s ready to pen a beautiful story with all of you.
