We offer custom made quality shutters designed just for you. Dozens of different considerations come into play to ensure our 101% custom-designed service caters for different window shading requirements.
Five different slat widths accommodate preferences for either more light or privacy, and there are many different paint finishes and stains as well as a range of whites and creams, and if required, shutters can be custom-finished to match existing paint finishes. Our motorised shutters are the perfect solution for hard to access windows (or just for those of you who fancy the ability to lie in bed and open your shutters with the touch of a button!)
We work closely with our manufacturers to design your shutters. The quality of our products allows us to offer an amazing array of shapes to suit unconventional window configurations. Our product range is designed to suit all budgets, offering five different materials to ensure the right product for your situation.
CraftWood is an engineered wood product and manufactured in our five most popular colours to provide an entry level product manufactured to the same high quality standard as our premium hardwoods. This product is best suited to smaller rectangular windows – sometimes referred to as a Seattle Shutter.
CoralWood (our most popular shutter) sometimes referred to as Essential Wood or a Boston Shutter provides a great combination of value for money and quality and a selection of five finishes. It is manufactured utilising the same high quality standards as our other substrates. It is important to note that, unlike other CoralWood products our CoralWood shutters are made from 100% basswood.
LarchWood, one of our newest timber substrates is softwood and has many of the benefits of a real hardwood. It has a grain structure which is similar to that of Western Red Cedar but at a lower cost. Our LarchWood range is available in a number of painted and stained finishes.
PermaWood is extremely hard wearing, making it ideal for commercial installations. It is also resistant to moisture making it very suitable for wet rooms (i.e. when water is actually running down the panels!!) – sometimes referred to as Hollywood Shutters.
Premier BassWoodis our most versatile hardwood. Whether painted or stained, our Basswood collection offers a fantastic product with a beautiful grain structure. Premier BassWood is light, strong and extremely stable.
CedarWood is light, durable, moisture resistant and extremely versatile, CedarWood is available in stains, painted or in a unique oiled finish – CedarWood shutters are sometimes referred to as Vancouver Shutters.
Real Oak this is our top-of-the-range product and is ideal for matching with oak flooring and facings. Oak is, however, very heavy and we are happy to advise on special installation requirements.
PhoenixWood sometimes called PearlWood – this range has the very distinctive grain of the Paulownia or Kiri tree. This is one of the world’s fastest growing tree species and is a great favorite of environmentalists. It is light in weight and has one of the highest strength to weight ratios. PhoenixWood shutters look best with a stain to allow the natural beauty of the grain to show through.
Vinyl Combining elegance with the durability of vinyl they are perfect for windows everywhere: formal living rooms to rough and-tumble playrooms – even busy kitchens and steamy bathrooms. Our vinyl shutters are fire retardant and child safe. Their lightweight design with internal air pockets provides an elegant solution for large windows as well as being energy efficient. Easy to maintain, washable and waterproof, they will not fade, crack or chip – guaranteed for 25 years……..and if you need shutters in a hurry then the two weeks order to delivery time will be great.
We offer 7 options of louvre style including a solid shutter and an S-Shaped louvre which reduces light ingress. Our shutters have either 6 coats of paint or 7 coats of stain to give a tough, lustrous finish. We offer a large selection standard colours and stains and are able to match colours from various well known trade palettes such a Farrow & Ball, Dulux Trade, RAL and Paint & Paper Library. Like every masterpiece, a shutter requires a quality frame. We have the UK’s largest choice of frames.
